Yvonne Lynn walked up our driveway 18 months ago with a letter for me that changed my life.

The Discovery: Finding My Family

I was to discover that I had more than one half-sister and that my late father had been previously married.

You never think this kind of day will happen to you, or imagine how you would feel if it did.

This extremely kind lady had been working on behalf of one of my half-sisters, who lives in South Africa, and had done many months of research and investigations on her behalf from very low Ancestry DNA matches but she managed to piece it together.

New Beginnings:

Yvonne helped me to find my biological family. She helped me to make contact with my new relatives, going out of her way to do so.

She stayed in touch with two of us and helped us form a strong bond whilst also doing further bits of research to help answer some of the questions we had.

Emotional Support

This could have been quite a traumatic event in my life but Yvonne helped me through it. She met up with me again more than once in her free time to hand over documents and go through the family tree that she had built and to have a chat.

Recommendation:

I would certainly not hesitate in recommending her services to anyone who is wanting to trace family or research their past or have their family tree appear in front of their eyes.

Mary Ann's Side of the Story

The Reason for the Start of the Journey

I was adopted in South Africa. My adopted parents died when I was quite young so I was left alone in the world. I did an Ancestry DNA test in search of my mother and any siblings.

DNA Analysis and Investigation: - Understanding my DNA Results

Yvonne spent many hours researching on my behalf. She analysed my DNA, built up my tree, emailed people on my behalf, and found living people on Facebook for me to contact.

She made contact with my sister, Elaine. She went out of her way to drive to her house to hand deliver the letter and explain my situation.

I would never have been able to use the tools Yvonne used to obtain the information I required. Yvonne knows what tools, websites etc to use.

She was able to pull together in - depth information by using these tools and her skill at analysing and looking for finding patterns in DNA data was astounding.

Emotional Support - Help to Find and Contact My Sister

She was a huge support to me during that time. With her assistance and advice, Yvonne helped me to find my biological mother and my biological father from Ancestry DNA matches. but the most precious gift of all was finding my sister.

I will be forever grateful to her for assisting me in the manner that she did and also for her support during that time.

Not only did she analyse the data and found patterns and made sense of it, she found living people to contact and gave me huge emotional support. She found my biological parents who sadly had passed, but she also found my sister Elaine and we are in regular contact, despite the distance in miles between us.
